Charles Oakley is a former NBA-All Star. He was a player with the Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Toronto Raptors, Washington Wizards, and Houston Rockets. As a power forward, he consistently ranked as one of the best rebounders in the NBA and is consistently a Fan Favorite due to his passion and determination on the court. That passion has continued to fuel his goals after basketball which includes cooking and helping others. In 2020, he started The Charles Oakley Foundation which focuses on helping communities fight to end hunger, poverty and to give people who need it a helping hand. His love towards the kitchen has allowed him to dive deeper into his specialty in both a professional and charitable manner. He is a partner in Red The Steakhouse in Cleveland and South Beach, Miami. Mr. Oakley has displayed his culinary skills on several cooking competition shows, including 'Chopped', Tournament of Stars on the Food Network. You can often find Charles cooking for various private and corporate events as he is a popular item at many charitable auctions in which bidders compete for the 19-Year NBA Veteran to come and cook for their private group at the location of the winners choice. He also can be hired directly to do this as a personal chef. Charles brings both the celebrity awareness and cooking prowess for a unique blend and twist to any affair. Charles has cooked at private events for Oprah, Jay-Z, Michael Jordan, Lebron and numerous other celebrities. He has also cooked for thousands of homeless in one day at Skid Row in LA multiple times. In 2020, Charles also took his talents to the dance floor and participated in "Dancing with the Stars" where he showed off his style and grace. Recently, he authored a book called 'The Last Enforcer' where he divulges never been told captivating stories about his basketball journey on and off the court. Michael Jordan, Oakley's close friend, wrote the Foreword. He also appeared in 'The Last Dance': The untold story of Michael Jordan's Chicago Bulls. In 2021, The Charles Oakley Foundation launched the “Oak Out Hunger” initiative, which goal was to feed 10,000 meals across America which was accomplished in 2022 with Charles himself cooking and serving many of those meals by traveling to multiple cities and partnering with shelters in the most needed communities. “Oak Out Hunger” continues to provide thousands of meals and other services to underprivileged communities.
